Upper Peninsula Health Plan Supports Capital Campaign at Teaching Family Homes

Marquette, MI – Upper Peninsula Health Plan (UPHP) recently donated funds to Teaching Family Homes of Upper Michigan to landscape the grounds surrounding the new on-site school. The staff at UPHP are designing the landscaping to provide children, parents and teachers with inspiration and appreciation for learning opportunities.  The garden area will be comprised of flowering trees, shrubs, plants, flowers and a garden bench.  It will be a place to welcome children, teachers, parents and other child care providers to a school of hope and promise.

For the last twenty-nine years Teaching Family Homes of Upper Michigan (TFH) has worked to help children and families in crisis.  We have been serving children and their families throughout Upper Michigan since 1981.  Modeled after Father Flanagan’s Boys Town, TFH has changed lives and given thousands of children a better future.  So often the children we serve have lived unimaginable lives.  It is wonderful to see the transformation in these children. TFH helps give back to children their childhoods and, consequently, their future.

We invite the community to help us help U.P. kids. For more information on TFH, contact Rich Rossway at (906) 249-KIDS or log onto www.teachingfamilyhomes.org.
